Dräger Tubes
Fast and Reliable ‘Laboratory in a Glass’
Trusted worldwide for accurate results, Dräger-Tubes are an easy way to measure toxic gases and vapors. With some 250 different DrägerTubes – including those for benzene, sulfur dioxide and chlorine – you can measure for more than 500 gases and vapors, get immediate results, and make decisions on the spot.
Unlike most other gas detection methods, Dräger-Tubes are always ready for use because they require no maintenance, calibration, or batteries. Simply remove the tube from the packaging, cap the tip with a tube opener, take air samples with the Dräger accuro® hand pump or X-act® 5000 automatic pump, and read measurement results by observing the color change on the scale printed on the glass tube.
To ensure that Dräger-Tubes provide their legendary reliability, we still manufacture them in small batches at our headquarters in Germany.
Accurate and Safe, Whatever your Application
Application fields include industry, firefighting, disaster prevention, laboratory work, environmental protection, and other areas that require instant measurement results so decisions can be made.
Use Dräger-Tubes when special precision is required, such as when you need to detect unusual gases or maintain extremely low threshold values. When it isn’t clear which hazardous materials have contaminated the atmosphere – such as transportation accidents with improperly declared hazardous goods or fires in chemical recycling facilities – Dräger-Tubes are your answer.
|
Confined Space Entry Analyze air in sewers, shafts, tanks or other confined spaces prior to entry. |
|
Inhalation Exposures and Peak Concentrations Measure employee exposure to toxins in various inhalation areas and determine the peak concentration of gases or vapors in different work areas to ensure that levels are within regulatory guidelines |
|
Possible leakages Identify potential leakages in process areas – before they become a problem. |
|
Complex cases Accurately measure very complex mixtures of substances or use for cases in which several similar substances are present at the same time. |
When are Dräger-Tubes the Best Choice?
Dräger-Tubes are used when special precision is required. This usually involves challenging measuring tasks where unusual gases need to be detected or the threshold values that must be maintained are extremely low. Dräger-Tubes are also used in cases where it isn't clear which hazardous materials have contaminated the atmosphere. Typical scenarios include accidents with improperly declared hazardous goods transportation or fires in chemical recycling facilities.
